Pop-Up Stories: Blazing a Trail  (Public Programs)

Are you the first in your family or among friends to do something?

Maybe you struck out on your own and did something different and unexpected. Perhaps you started your own business, or you're a pioneer in your field.

We want to hear your stories of blazing trails, making your mark and paving the way for others to follow.

Come join WKAR and the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Fenner Nature Center for an evening of FREE community storytelling on the theme "blazing a trail." Stories should be true, firsthand accounts. They should be around five minutes long and family and FCC friendly. If you don't have a story to share, come enjoy yourself as an audience member!

WKAR News's Katie Cook will be hosting the event, and Digital News Director Reginald Hardwick will be there to say hello.

Fenner Nature Center will be giving out popcorn and lemonade. Their trails will be open before and after the event, until dusk. Dogs are welcome if they're on a leash.

If you want to sign up to tell a story, or request additional information or assistance for persons with disabilities, please email Katie Cook at kcook@wkar.org.

This event is hosted by WKAR and the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at MSU.
