Piano Recital featuring Noam Elkies and Young Hyun Cho  (Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Theatre, ...))

FRIB invites the community to an Advanced Studies Gateway musical event. A piano recital featuring Harvard professor of mathematics Noam Elkies and associate professor of piano at MSU Young Hyun Cho will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 in 1300 FRIB Laboratory, 640 South Shaw Lane, on Michigan State University's campus.

All Advanced Studies Gateway events are free and open to the public. Parking will be available in the Shaw Lane and Wharton Center parking ramps.
Noam D. Elkies is a professor of mathematics at Harvard and the youngest person ever tenured at the university. Alongside his mathematical career, Elkies has been playing the piano and composing since the age of three.

Young Hyun Cho is currently an associate professor of piano at Michigan State University. Prior to this she was an associate professor of piano at the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her doctor of musical arts degree from the Eastman School of Music, her master's degree and graduate performance diploma from Peabody Conservatory, and her bachelor's degree from Seoul National University.
