DESCRIPTION:
 <p>Rodney Whitaker, double bass, and Carl Allen, 
 drums, will perform their unique brand of 
 21st-century soul jazz from their recent album 
 "<a href="http://www.mackavenue.com/artists/detail/allen_whitaker/">Work 
 to Do</a>." Bring 
 your own copy of the album or purchase one 
 at the event for signing. Allen and Whitaker's 
 performance will be followed by a <b>Big Band 
 Dance</b> with Jazz Orchestra I, conducted 
 by Whitaker.</p>\n
 <p><b>Ticket information:</b> 
 <br />Reserved seating is $350 for tables 
 of eight (includes $150 tax-deductible donation) 
 and $50 for individuals (includes $25 tax-deductible 
 donation); reserved seating guests 
 will enjoy dessert/coffee service. Contact
