Diane Glancy -- Poet, novelist, playwright and
essayist

Glancy's work has earned
numerous literary prizes, including an American
Book Award, the Minnesota Book Award
in Poetry, the Native American Prose Award and
a Sundance Screenwriting Fellowship. Born in
1941 of a Cherokee father and an English/German
mother, Glancy holds a BA from the University
of Missouri and an MFA from the University
of Iowa. Her books include Asylum in
the Grasslands (2007), The Dance Partner
(2005), and The Shadow's Horse
(2003).
