 Diane Glancy -- Poet, novelist, playwright and

 Glancy's work has earned 
 numerous literary prizes, including an American 
 Book Award, the Minnesota Book Award 
 in Poetry, the Native American Prose Award and 
 a Sundance Screenwriting Fellowship. Born in 
 1941 of a Cherokee father and an English/German 
 mother, Glancy holds a BA from the University 
 of Missouri and an MFA from the University 
 of Iowa. Her books include <em>Asylum in 
 the Grasslands</em> (2007), <em>The Dance Partner</em> 
 (2005), and <em>The Shadow's Horse</em> 
 (2003).<br />\n
