her first book, Coins & Coffins,
was published by Hawk's Well Press in 1962.
Her book Emerald Ice won the Poetry
Society of America's William Carlos Williams
Prize in 1989. Since 1975, she has been Poet

Jerome Rothenberg
is an internationally known poet, polemicist,
translator and anthologist with over
80 books of poetry and ten 'assemblages' of
traditional and contemporary poetry, including
Technicians of the Sacred and Poems
for the Millennium. He pioneered
the field of ethnopoetics, a combination of poetic
practice and anthropological theory, and
has been a longtime practitioner and theorist
of poetry performance. His forthcoming titles
include Gematria Complete, Concealments
& Caprichos, and Retrievals:
Uncollected & New Poems 1955-2010.<br
