 William Schmidt, University 
 Distinguished Professor, co-director of the Education 
 Policy Center and director of the Promoting 
 Rigorous Outcomes in Mathematics and 
 Science Education (PROM/SE) project.\n

 Dr. Schmidt 
 will be presenting on education in a global 
 context.\n
 \n
 His current work concerns issues 
 of academic content in K- 12 schooling, 
 teacher preparation and the effects of curriculum 
 on academic achievement.\n
 \n
 Doors open 
 at 7:00 pm and the program will begin at 7:30pm.

 Following the program there will be refreshments 
 and meet and greet with William Schmidt.
