 Bruce Miller, Professor Emeritus Department of 
 Philosophy, will examine the physical and  economic 
 threats to the city of Venice, Italy. 
  Professor Miller will draw on his experiences 
 and research in Venice over the past eighteen 
 years to comment on what is being done, and 
 not being done, to preserve the city.  This
