 The inaugural film of the MSU Film Collective's 
 Fall 2012 series Time and Memory, Satyajit 
 Ray's 1958 "Jalsaghar (The Music Box)" 
 deals with, in Ray's words, "a music 
 loving Zamindar (landlord) who refuses to change 
 with the times and thereby meets his comeuppance." 
 Wes Anderson fans will recognize 
 music lifted from this film for the soundtrack 
 of "The Darjeeling Limited." 
 The screening is free and open to the public 
 and will be held in B122 Wells Hall. A lively 
 discussion will follow the film. \n\n
