 At the end of the activity, 
 the participants will be better able to:

 1.	Encourage physicians to educate and inform 
 policymakers about the public health impact 
 and costs of excessive drinking.\n
 2.	Articulate 
 evidence-based policy measures to prevent 
 excessive drinking.\n
 3.	Encourage physicians 
 to screen and counsel their patients for 
 excessive alcohol use.\n

 the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation 
 Council for Continuing Medical Education 
 through the joint sponsorship of Michigan
