 "Urban Factors" is an art installation by Xia 
 Gao, assistant professor of Apparel and Textile 
 Design (Art, Art History, and Design Dept. 
 at MSU)\n
 on display through Jan. 26, 2014 in 
 Art and Science Intersection Gallery at the 
 MSU Museum.\n

 This installation is part of Xia 
 Gao ongoing project "Changing Urban Landscape," 
 inspired by the striking contrasts from 
 fast transforming Chinese urban spaces and deteriorating 
 Detroit city-scapes.  Real data 
 from urban and social studies on Detroit are 
 reflected through this installation.\n\n
