DESCRIPTION:
 The MSU College of Arts and Letters presents Emmy 
 Award-winning broadcast journalist and executive 
 producer Soledad O'Brien; and Pulitzer 
 Prize-winning American journalist and author 
 Isabel Wilkerson. The two women will speak 
 in a joint public appearance in conversation 
 with their audience members at the MSU Wharton 
 Center for the Performing Arts, 7:30 p.m., 
 Thursday, October 2, 2014. Following the joint 
 appearance, Ms. Wilkerson will hold a book 
 signing with Schuler's Books selling her books 
 in the Wharton Center lobby.\n

 The MSU College 
 of Arts &amp; Letters Signature Lecture 
 Series featuring Soledad O'Brien and Isabel Wilkerson 
 is envisioned as a way to engage students, 
 campus visitors, and local and global 
 communities. It is also registered as an MSU 
 Project 60/50 event. As with 60/50, the intent 
 of this series is to link academic exploration 
 and study, public commemoration, and remembrance, 
 laced with a multitude of cultural expressions 
 with leading authors, artists, filmmakers, 
 and writers from across the world.\n

 fee) at the Wharton Center box office or online

 MSU faculty,
