SUMMARY:Luis Delgado-Qualtrough: Bauhaus in a Barrel
DESCRIPTION:
Cosponsored by:School of Journalism, MSU Museum,
Department of History, Office of Inclusion
and Intercultural Affairs, Asian Studies Center,
and Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities\n
 \n
 From
Mexico City to San Francisco, Luis
 Delgado-Qualtrough has observed and commented
on his surrounding world through books,
prints and installations with an evolving style
rooted in documentary work and into the conceptual
world with a sense of humor and the
use of the double entendre. Delgado-Qualtrough's
 photographic work integrates narrative and
sequential still images to create idea-driven
 content.\n
 \n
His prints and artist books have
been widely exhibited and are held by many
 museums, institutions and private collectors,
 including the Bibliotheque National, Paris,
Museo de Arte Moderno de Rio de Janeiro, Centro
de la Imagen, Mexico DF, San Francisco Museum
of Fine Art and Michigan State University
 Libraries, East Lansing.\n
 \n
 Luis Delgado-Qualtrough's
visit is in conjunction with the MSU
 Museum's exhibition Seeing China: Photographic
Views and Viewpoints (January 19 - August
30, 2015), part of MSU's Year of China in 2015.
His book Cuentos Chinos Attributed to Dr.
