 The Eli Broad College of Business is pleased to 
 present an address by Dr. Adrian Sannier.\n
 \n
 Dr. Sannier was named by The Chronicle of Higher 
 Education as one of the "12 Tech Innovators 
 Who Are Transforming Campuses" 
 in 2012.\n
  \n
 "Our educational system is 
 under increasing pressure. At the very moment 
 that economic and cultural forces are driving 
 the need for people to develop new skills 
 at an accelerating pace, the educational system 
 seems to be losing ground... We need solutions 
 at the next level of scale."\n

 Dr. 
 Sannier is an MSU Alum and nationally recognized 
 leader in the use of technology in higher 
 education and will deliver an engaging address 
 on disruptive innovation in higher education. 
 This event should be of great interest to 
 all faculty and PhD students.\n
 \n
 Adrian Sannier 
 is the Chief Academic Technology Officer 
 and Professor of Practice in the School of Computing, 
 Informatics, and Decision Engineering 
 at Arizona State University. He is part of 
 the ASU team building the Global Freshman Academy, 
 an ambitious program of general education 
 reform combining Big Data, social networking, 
 and evidence based instruction to drive 
 better student outcomes at scale.\n
 \n
 Previously, 
 Sannier, an MSU alum (BS '82 and PhD '88), 
 served as CIO at ASU from 2005-2010. Sannier 
 also served as the Stanley Professor for Interdisciplinary 
 Engineering and the Associate 
 Director of the Virtual Reality Applications 
 Center at Iowa State University. Outside the 
 academy, Sannier was Senior Vice President for 
 Product at Pearson, where he helped forge 
 the partnership between ASU and Pearson that 
 created ASU Online.\n
