SUMMARY: Beal Botanical Garden Tour: Historical Food Plants of American Indian Cultures and Nations
DESCRIPTION:
Join Beal Botanical Garden assistant curator Peter
Carrington in a tour of the W. J. Beal Botanical

plant species that the American Indians, both
in the Midwest and elsewhere, used and cultured
for their people. We will examine their
 nutritional contributions and examine poisonous
look-a-likes. We will meet at the pond by
the shed at the southeast corner of the Botanical
Garden. Time: 12:10-12:50 If there is a
weather disaster, we will meet in the Library,
