DESCRIPTION:
 "The Moor's Account" (historical fiction) by Laila 
 Lalami, led by Leila Tarakji, graduate student, 
 Department of English\n
 \n
 The MSU Muslim 
 Studies Program and MSU Libraries are hosting 
 a new Muslim Journeys scholar-led book discussion 
 series in 2016-2017. This series focuses 
 on Islam in the U.S. and on different genres 
 of Muslim American literature. \n
 Each session 
 will begin with a short lecture from a 
 scholar, followed by smaller group book discussions 
 and ending with questions and answers. 
 The smaller group discussions will be facilitated 
 by MSU graduate students.\n
 Participants 
 are encouraged to read the book ahead of time, 
 and to attend as many sessions as possible.\n
 All 
 sessions are free and open to the public; 
 light refreshments will be served. Community 
 members, undergraduate and graduate students, 
 faculty, staff and alumni are invited to 
 participate. \n
 Co-sponsored by the Islamic Society 
 of Greater Lansing and the Interfaith 
 Clergy Association of Greater Lansing and the 
 MSU Comics Forum.\n
