DESCRIPTION:
 The Broad MSU is offering a series of programs 
 that promote discussion about the burden of 
 racism in American society to complement the 
 upcoming April 3 campus visit by the award-winning 
 writer journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates as part 
 of the World View Lecture Series.\n

 Join 
 us as we celebrate Black History Month with 
 the first event in our spring series collaboration 
 with the Residential College in the Arts 
 and Humanities titled, "50 Years On: Reflections 
 on Race, Racism and the Legacies of the 
 1967 Detroit Riots."\n

 Our first installment 
 of three conversations features assistant curator, 
 Carla Acevedo-Yates, along with special 
 guest Jena Baker-Calloway of the MSU Detroit 
 Center, who will use the work of Detroit Artist, 
 Tyree Guyton. \n
