 "Next Stop Atlantic," is in the 
 Ground Floor Gallery February 20 - September 
 2017.\n

 Between 2008 and 2011, photographer 
 Stephen Mallon worked on a series entitled, 
 "Next Stop Atlantic," where he immersed himself 
 in documenting subway cars being dropped 
 into the Atlantic Ocean. The subway cars are 
 intended to serve as artificial reef habitats 
 designed to promote life along the eastern 
 sea board.\n

 Mallon's provocative images spark 
 questions related to how recycled products 
 can become part of the solution rather than 
 the problem.\n\n
