 At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, RCAH will 
 welcome comic book writer Dan Mishkin to the 
 first Wednesday Night Live of the academic 
 year.\n

 All are welcome to attend and admission 
 is free.\n

 How comics (and comic writers) 
 work:\n
 Explore the craft of creating comics 
 from a writer's point of view. Discover the 
 surprising assortment of secrets in the cartoonist's 
 bag of tricks, as well as the many ways 
 that writers and artists collaborate to put 
 them to use. And learn how narratives made 
 up of words and pictures on the page uniquely 
 differ from other modes of storytelling -- even 
 other visual media like film and television. 
 Writer Dan Mishkin will also talk about how 
 he cobbled together a life that includes a 
 career in the popular arts after graduating 
 from a liberal arts residential college at MSU.\n
