SUMMARY:Face to Face: A Conversation About Bans, Walls and Mass Shootings
DESCRIPTION:
In light of recent hate acts that have occurred
across the nation and the world, the MSU College
of Education, the City of East Lansing,
the East Lansing Human Relations Commission
and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission
of Mid Michigan are hosting a facilitated panel
and community conversation focused on moving
beyond despair and trauma. Collective healing
 involves dialogue, resource-sharing and
 gaining understanding across cultural differences.
This event will include panel reflections
from community members on the Parkland shooting,
the Muslim ban, building "the wall" and
the Tree of Life Congregation Pittsburgh shooting.
Refreshments will be served. All interested
 community members are welcome.\n\n
