SUMMARY:Lessie Jo Frazier: Edge of Desire
DESCRIPTION:
The Edge of Desire: Visual Regimes of Fascism
 and Dissidence\n
 \n
 Feminist theorists of visual
culture have pointed to the edge as a site
revealing, and at times challenging, the politics
of the visible. This talk by Lessie Jo Frazier
considers questions of gender and sexuality
in the embodied politics of human rights
 activists' challenges to counter-revolutionary,
fascist re-makings of what could be perceived
and what should be politically desired.
