DESCRIPTION:
 What does it mean to teach from a place of love? 
 Middle and high school educators are invited 
 to join Tamara Butler, Ph.D., assistant professor 
 in English Education and African American 
 Studies, for a workshop that will explore 
 the concept of belonging through written and 
 visual messages. In connection with the collection 
 exhibition, Visual Citizenship, Butler 
 will lead discussion, reflection, and a hands-on 
 activity that encourage educators to mobilize 
 notions of care through letter writing 
 and collage.\n

 Cost of registration ($15) covers 
 a breakfast of bagels, coffee, and tea.
