SUMMARY:Printmaking Workshop: Block Printed Totes
DESCRIPTION:
 Immerse yourself in the design, cutting, and stamping 
 process of making your own block printed 
 tote bag. Taking inspiration from the nature-driven 
 patterns of Japanese woodblock prints, 
 you'll learn how to design and hand-print 
 a repeating textile pattern. We'll discuss 
 the history and symbolism of ukiyo-e prints and 
 reference some of the many examples we have 
 in our collection for added inspiration. Cost 
 of registration ($65) covers instruction and 
 all materials. This workshop is led by Art 
 Lab Studio Educator Britta Urness. Registration 
 is required by November 2nd.\n

 being offered on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1-4pm 
 or Friday, Nov. 13 from 7-10pm.\n

 Material kits 
 for this workshop are included in the cost 
 of registration. Kits are available for curbside 
 pick-up at the MSU Broad Art Lab between 
 12pm and 5pm beginning the Saturday prior to 
 the date of the first workshop (Oct. 31st).
