DESCRIPTION:
 Islamic Medical Student Association and South 
 Asian Medical Student Association host a discussion 
 with Dr. Abbasi about addressing mental 
 health in our communities, and how to better 
 care for patients who look like us as future 
 physicians. Dr. Farha Abbasi is an Assistant 
 Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at 
 MSU. Her areas of interest are cultural psychiatry 
 and teaching medical students how to 
 provide culturally appropriate care to Muslim 
 patients. Dr. Abbasi has received numerous awards 
 for her service to the community and promoting 
 mental health. Students from IMSA and 
 SAMSA will be sharing their experiences.\n
