SUMMARY:Museum as Muse: Mixed Media Class
DESCRIPTION:
 Take inspiration from the soaring angles of the 
 Zaha Hadid designed MSU Broad Art Museum and 
 the collections within during this 6-week mixed 
 media class for adult creatives. By melding 
 drawing, painting, collage, and image transfer 
 techniques, participants will learn to 
 combine a vast array of art materials while investigating 
 the structure of the MSU Broad and 
 receiving an in-depth look at a diverse selection 
 of artworks within the collection. Highlighted 
 artists include: Tyree Guyton, Julie 
 Mehretu, Bruce Thayer, Miriam Schapiro, and 
 Neal Ambrose-Smith, among many others.\n

 Cost 
 of registration ($120) covers instruction 
 and most materials. A suggested supply list for 
 additional materials will be provided to all 
 registrants prior to the beginning of class. 
 The registration deadline is Oct. 4, 2021.\n
