SUMMARY:Craftivism in the MSU Museum Collections
DESCRIPTION:
Craftivism, according to sociologist Betsy Greer,
is "a way of looking at life where voicing
opinions through creativity makes your voice
stronger, your compassion deeper and your quest
for justice more infinite." While the term
is new, the intersection of craft and activism
is not. Craft has been used as a medium
to express feelings, values, and experiences
that reflect upon and motivate action related
to issues and needs in society.\n
