The RCAH Center for Poetry at MSU's Fall Reading Series Presents Melissa Kwasny

Melissa Kwasny is the author of four books of poetry: The Nine Senses (Milkweed Editions 2011); Reading Novalis in Montana, named one of the top ten books of 2009 by The Huffington Post; Thistle, winner of the Idaho Prize; and The Archival Birds. A book of essays about the natural image, entitled Earth Recitals: Essays on Image and Vision, will be published by Lynx House Press in early 2013. She is also the editor of Toward the Open Field: Poets on the Art of Poetry 1800‐1950, recently listed as one of Poets and Writers Magazine's "75 Best Books for Writers," and co‐editor, with M.L. Smoker, of an anthology of poetry in defense of global human rights, I Go To the Ruined Place. She lives in the Elkhorn Mountains of western Montana. more information...
