Campus Sustainability Research Symposium
(Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)
The Michigan State University campus is a living lab to create a more sustainable community. The Office of Campus Sustainability offers Seed Grants to researchers to study and implement projects. Sponsored projects for the 2011-2012 funding cycle are:
- study of carpooling decision-making
- the effect of LEED buildings on behavior
- using food waste for energy generation,
- reducing energy consumption in academic building environment
- vermicomposting food waste with worms and horticulture in residential areas of campus.

Please join us in Gold Room B of the Union for discussion of campus sustainability research and learn how you can obtain funds through the Office of Campus Sustainability Seed Grant program for your future research. The Student Project Fund is another funding source available to the campus community to provide financial support to students to explore solutions to sustainability challenges on-campus.
