The Proposed Iran Nuclear Deal: Potential Impact on the US and the Middle East
(Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)
Panelists: Sherman Garnett (Dean of JMC and professor, former government analyst for nuclear non-proliferation issues), Yael Aronoff (JMC faculty, Director of Jewish Studies Program, Serling Chair in Israel Studies), and Russel Lucas (JMC faculty, Director of Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities, Muslim Studies Program faculty)
What are the short-term and long-term implications--for the US and for the Middle East--of the P5+1's historic proposed deal with the Iranian government over the future of their nuclear program? Each panelist will share their analysis of the issues and then open the discussion to include the audience. Co-sponsored by James Madison College, Muslim Studies, Peace and Justice Studies, Asian Studies Center, and Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities Program.
