Edible Wild Spring Greens
(Public Programs) Join Beal Botanical Garden assistant curator Peter Carrington in a tour of the W. J. Beal Botanical Garden to look at the many early spring plants, some of which qualify as weeds for most of us, that make delicious early spring vegetables for the table. Most yards and virtually all weed patches offer something interesting to eat (if they haven't been poisoned with 'weed killers'). We will examine their nutritional contributions and examine poisonous look-a-likes. We will meet at the pond by the shed at the southeast corner of the Botanical Garden.
