Symphony Orchestra & MSU Choirs: Songs of the Sea

The MSU Symphony Orchestra shares the stage with Choral Union, State Singers, and University Chorale to perform a panoramic program depicting different aspects of the sea. Ralph Vaughan Williams used text from poems by Walt Whitman including "The Waves" and "On the Beach at Night, Alone" for his magnificent A Sea Symphony, (Symphony No. 1). The final ripple of the program presents beauty and wonder with Benjamin Britten's Four Sea Interludes. Octavio Más-Arocas and Sally Yu, conductors. more information...
