MSU Opera Theatre and Symphony Orchestra
(Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Theatre, ...)) Three presentations, March 26, 27, and 28. Romeo et Juliette, Charles Gounod's timeless setting of Shakespeare's romantic tragedy is filled with fabulous melodies, soaring duets, and great choral music. Throw in knife fights, poison, and true love, and you've got the well-loved tale of two star-crossed lovers and their untimely end. The production will be Raphael Jimenez - conductor; Melanie Helton - stage director A preview lecture will be held 45 minutes before each performance. Reserved seating only.
