Teaching German in Translational Terms? Challenges, Methods, Practices
This interactive workshop is designed for K-16 teachers of German and offers an immersion setting that allows participants to explore translation as a productive means of teaching German-speaking cultures and their aesthetic production. In a hands-on approach, participants are familiarized with cultural, ethical, linguistic, and literary concerns in translation. The workshop also provides a great avenue for creating a network with other German teachers across levels and to share ideas and materials.
A small registration fee covers materials and lunch ($20). SB-CEU approved (additional $35). Parking permits will be provided (free).
