Join us for reading and discussion with science writer and historian John Waller of Lyman Briggs College. In his latest boook, Waller investigates theories of heredity in the 18th and 19th century-theories that influenced medicine, social policy, and political agendas. John Waller holds degrees from Oxford University, Imperial College London, and University College London, and previously taught at Oxford, Harvard, and the University of Melbourne. His newest book on theories of heredity is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. His previous books include A Time to Dance, A Time to Die: The Extraordinary Story of the Dancing Plague of 1518. more information...
