MSU alumnus Diane Husic (Ph.D. Biochemistry 1986) will talk about how in 2002, a group of concerned citizens purchased 750 acres of
one of the largest Superfund sites east of the Mississippi River.
Hear how this landscape was transformed from a moonscape
devoid of essentially all life into a thriving ecosystem that now
serves as a model for restoration, conservation, and collaboration.
