MSU hosts the 2012 Michigan Science Olympiad State Tournament, this year celebrating their 30th Anniversary. High School and middle school teams from around the state will participate in 46 competitive events held in various locations on the MSU campus. Nearly 3,000 students, coaches, parents, and volunteers will participate. State Champions and runner-up teams will compete in the National Science Olympiad Tournament in Florida on May 18-19, 2012.
