he 150th anniversary of the signing of the Morrill Act will be celebrated on the MSU campus and across the nation in 2012. Spartans are invited to gather from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at The Rock on Farm Lane to get a taste of Morrill Mint Madness, the limited-edition ice cream flavor honoring the Morrill Act Sesquicentennial. Spartans also can pick up free commemorative Justin Morrill T-shirts and have an opportunity to visit with Abraham Lincoln and Justin himself.

The nation's pioneer land-grant university, Michigan State joins the national celebration of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Morrill Act and the creation of land-grant institutions of higher education. For more information about the event, visit http://msu.edu/morrill-celebration/.
