Pediatric Residents, MSU/Sparrow Residency Program
East Lansing, MI, "Communication Services for the Limited English Speaking Patients at Sparrow Hospital." At the end of the activity the participants will be better able to: 1. Outline communication services for limited English speaking patients; 2.Define and evaluate the current communication services for limited English speaking patients used at Sparrow Hospital; and 3.Evaluate the translated written discharge instructions as a method to improve the communication services for limited English speaking patients in Sparrow Hospital.
2nd Presentation: Jayne Tarkleson, DO, presenting: Pediatric Nutrition Education. Objectives include: At the end of the activity (presentation), the participants will be better able to: 1.Discuss ways to promote healthy eating habits; 2.Identify healthy infant/parent feeding relationships; and 3.Discuss current nutrition recommendations from birth to 5 years of age.
