Parent Talk System: Words that Empower . . Words that Wound presented by Judith Minton, Associate Director of Development for the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University
At the end of the activity (presentation), the participants will be better able to:
1. Understand how to support the growth of healthy self-esteem through the use of Descriptive vs. Evaluative praise
2. Understand how to increase the efficacy of corrective feedback through the use of the phrase "I noticed."
3. Understand that "Parent Talk" isn't just for children . . . the power of positive language in diverse settings.
