Adventures in Time and the Third Dimension: Through the Stereoscope
(Exhibits (Museum, Gardens, ...))
The MSU Museum moves backward - and forward - in time in a new exhibition that invites visitors to explore how we perceive our world in its three physical dimensions.
Visitors can wander through the MSU Museum's rich collection of stereo-viewing technology and see how the world of the late 19th and early 20th centuries was transformed into 3D images for fun and education. They can visit a stereo-photographer's studio from the late 1800s. Then relax with a Victorian family as they enjoy exploring the world through stereo-photographs before jumping through time to visit a movie theatre of the 1960s and watch a 3D film wearing the classic red-blue glasses. more information...
