Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Film, 1991, Mediterraneo is the story of a group of Italian soldiers dropped off on a small Greek island during World War II who are left behind by the war. As time goes by, they begin to have more and more contact with the local villagers as they look for ways to spend the hours in each day. Note: Some adult themes, nudity and adult language.
