From 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013, join the RCAH for a First Sunday Gallery Walk for the Surface Designers of Greater Lansing's "Marigolds to Mulberries: Exploring Natural Dyes" and for "Entry Points: An Incomplete Guide to Zines [Then & Now]," curated by the organizers of the Mid-Michigan Zine Fair.
Weekly LookOut! Art Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 12 to 2:30 p.m.
About the exhibits:
Marigolds to Mulberries: Exploring Natural Dyes is the artistic culmination of an 18-month exploration of fibers that have been dyed with natural materials, then stitched, woven, or embellished in other ways. The artists exhibiting include: Alice Brinkman, Martha Brownscombe, Kyle Cobe, Candace Farmer, Marie Gile, Helen Griffiths, Ginger Petty, Gretel Geist Rutledge and Chris Worland.
Entry Points: An Incomplete Guide to Zines [Then & Now] represents a broad spectrum of the zine world and includes work on loan from MSU Libraries Special Collections as well as the personal collection of Ethan Tate. more information...
