The Last Dymaxion: Buckminster Fuller's Dream Restored
(Movie / Film)
With Discussion by Filmmaker Noel Murphy
Cosponsored by Art, Art History & Design, MSU; Michigan State Historic Preservation Office;
East Lansing Film Society; East Lansing Public Library
Buckminster Fuller was the grandfather of the modern green movement and gave us
the world's first "green" automobile, the Dymaxion...in 1933! Amelia Earhart drove
one of the three prototypes of the teardrop-shaped car which spun on three wheels
and held a dozen people. Fuller also invented the Geodesic Dome, the world's largest
self-supporting structure, and revolutionized the practice of architecture worldwide by
incorporating sustainability into his designs.
Please join us for a premier of this rough
cut screening that will be shown with
recent interviews added to four years
worth or work.
