Gran Fondo
(Special Events)
The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Gran Fondo will be back bigger and better on Saturday June 28, 2014. This fun, non-competitive cycling event benefits skin cancer awareness, prevention & research at MSU. Gran Fondo means "Big Ride" in Italian. Gran Fondos are long distance, mass-participation cycling events with cyclists of all abilities welcome.
Starting and finishing at the B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids, the MSU Gran Fondo will follow a scenic, West Michigan course, offering 12, 25, 40, and 80-mile loops, with the shortest loop turning at Millennium Park, while the longest ride leads to Lake Michigan, turning at North Shore Park near Grand Haven. Along the way, Gilmore Catering will host Superfood Stops. Riders will return to The B.O.B. for a Finish Line Festival featuring live music, amazing food and micro brews. Cyclists can join as individuals or teams. Register now at www.msugranfondo.com. more information...
