At the end of the presentation, the participant will be able to:
1. Delineate the scope of the problem.
2. Discuss the most common causes of short bowel syndrome in children.
3. Describe the medical management of short bowel syndrome.
4. Discuss a variety of surgical options that can be used when medical therapy has been exhausted.
