Brews & Views: Common Core
(Special Events)
The MSU Department of Teacher Education and the Education Policy Center invites the public to join them for "Brews & Views," a discussion and Q&A on education issues. The discussion this spring will focus on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and how it will impact what and how students learn in Michigan.
Experts in teacher education, social studies, literacy, science and math from the college of education will share their expertise and answer questions on the history of Common Core and what it means for Michigan students. The free event is supported by Midtown Brewing Company (402 South Washington) in downtown Lansing, where the event will take place from 5:30-7:00pm on Tuesday, April 28. Everyone is encouraged to join the discussion, or send in questions for the experts ahead of time using #MSUBrewsAndViews.
Refreshments and food will be available for purchase at the event.
