MSU Bee Palooza 2015
(Special Events) Join members of the MSU Department of Entomology for the return of this fun and free annual event for the entire family, including exhibits on bees, plants and pollination. Visitors will learn about some of the important connections between bees and our state's wildlife as well as their importance for Michigan agriculture. The honey bee and bumble bee exhibits will include live observation colonies where visitors can see the queen, the worker bees, and how these insects coordinate all the work of the hive. At the honey bee observation colony, Michigan bee keepers will be on hand to talk about what it takes to keep honey bees healthy in Michigan. Information will be available for planting gardens to support pollinators and how to build a native bee hotel. There will be even more exhibits and fun activities for kids and adults, including face painting. This event is FREE and fun for all ages! more information...
