Cutting Edge / Drug Discovery & Development in Michigan
(Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)
Changes in the pharmaceutical R&D business model coupled with an enhanced emphasis on federally funded translational research has given rise in the number and sophistication of academic drug discovery centers. The Cutting Edge / Drug Discovery & Development in Michigan Symposium will showcase drug R&D activities at the state's research universities and discuss the development, funding, partnering, and commercialization of new therapeutic discoveries. The program is meant to bring together representatives from academia, industry, contract research organizations, funders, and others to talk about Michigan's current drug discovery efforts and future capacity within an academic paradigm.
This symposium is presented by MichBio, the biosciences trade association for the state of Michigan, and the University Research Corridor, an academic research cluster leading innovation in Michigan and the Great Lakes region (an alliance of Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, and Wayne State University). The symposium is hosted by Michigan State University. more information...
