Professor Aomar Boum will explore topics from his book "Memories of Absence: How Muslims Remember Jews in Morocco" (2013), discussing Muslims and Jewish memories of World War II, the Vichy camps in North Africa, German propaganda, and the present debates in Morocco, Israel, and the United States about Mohammed V's role during the war period.
