The Abrams Planetarium will be offering a free showing of the planetarium show "Solar Superstorms", featuring visualizations by MSU's professor Bob Stein. Solar Superstorms is a new production that takes viewers into the tangle of magnetic fields and superhot plasma that vent the Sun's rage in dramatic flares, violent tornadoes, and the largest eruptions in the solar system: Coronal Mass Ejections. Join Professor Bob Stein afterwards for a short lecture and Q&A session about the science of the sun!
