NatSci Council on Diversity and Community Speaker Series
(Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)
Jane Rigby, a civil servant astrophysicist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., will discuss how the lack of diversity in astronomy endangers the profession.
A reception, held from 3:15 to 4 p.m. in 3280 BPS, will give graduate students and postdocs an opportunity to talk informally with the speaker about her personal experiences, obstacles she's faced and issues of work-life balance.
During the seminar, held from 4:10 p.m. to 5 p.m. in 1415 BPS, Rigby will share her perspective on diversity and community with the broader MSU community.
Everyone is welcome at the seminar.
